Compatibility Test of J1939 to J1708 Cable
Device connection test: In practical application environments, devices using J1939 and J1708 protocols will be connected via cables to check if they can recognize and communicate normally. In the in car system, connect the engine control unit, dashboard and other equipment, and observe whether there is a communication fault prompt.
Data transmission testing: By sending and receiving different types of data, such as vehicle speed, engine speed, etc., the accuracy and completeness of data transmission are checked. Professional diagnostic equipment or software can be used to monitor the data transmission process and ensure that there is no loss or error of data.
Environmental simulation testing: Considering various environmental factors in practical applications, such as temperature, humidity, electromagnetic interference, etc., corresponding simulation tests are conducted on cables. For example, testing the communication performance of cables in high-temperature environments or using electromagnetic interference generators to simulate strong interference environments to check the anti-interference ability of cables.
If compatibility issues are found during the testing process, check whether the cable connection is correct, whether the device supports the corresponding protocol, whether the cable is interfered with, etc. If necessary, replace the cable or adjust the device configuration until compatibility requirements are met.
