Installation and wiring specifications for J1939 cables
The installation and wiring specifications of J1939 cables are crucial for ensuring the stability and reliability of communication. During the installation process, the following specifications should be followed:

Firstly, the wiring layout of J1939 network should be as close to a linear structure as possible to avoid cable radiation. All ECU nodes should be connected to the central cable using short cables, and the spacing between nodes on the network should not be equal, and the length of the connecting cables should not be completely equal to reduce the generation of standing waves.
Secondly, the specified terminal resistors must be installed at both ends of the bus, and the intermediate nodes must not be connected to the terminal resistors. Terminal resistors can effectively eliminate signal reflections and ensure complete signal transmission.
When wiring, J1939 cables should be avoided from being arranged in parallel with high-voltage cables, power cables, etc. to reduce electromagnetic interference. If parallel arrangement cannot be avoided, the distance between the two should be increased or shielding measures should be taken.
In addition, the bending radius of J1939 cable should comply with relevant standards to avoid excessive bending and cable damage. When connecting connectors, ensure that the connection is firm and avoid loose connections that may cause poor contact.
